Pharmacy Procurement Supervisor

Job Details: Responsible for administration of inventory replenishment services for pharmacy supply chain clients. Primary responsibilities include working with clients; contracted pharmacies and wholesalers to replenish prescription drugs dispensed through the 340B or GPO pricing programs.
Coordinates and performs the following duties, including but not limited to: centralized inventory management activities that ensures adequate stocks of medications; purchasing contract compliance; management of prescription drug replenishment process and procedures; executing effective cost management strategies, and compliance with laws and regulations; oversight of the 340B Drug Discount Program, including audit and compliance with both in house and contract pharmacy business; supervision and oversight of the local Pharmacy Inventory Specialists; and management and oversight of Drug Recall and Shortage Process.
Assist the Pharmacist by performing department responsibilities related to the processing of inpatient medication orders and outpatient prescriptions. All activities related to medication dispensing, labeling and repackaging must be completed under the direct supervision of, and specifically approved by, a registered Pharmacist.
Participate as a team member in the delivery of appropriate medication therapy and communication to all internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
Associates Degree with emphasis in healthcare finance and management
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare Business and Finance
Minimum Experience: 5 years health-system related pharmacy technician experience
Preferred Experience: 2+ years supervisory experience
2 years procurement and/or multihospital health-system related pharmacy purchasing experience
Required Certification: Board Certified Pharmacy Technician
Preferred Certification: Not Applicable
Required License: Current CA Pharmacy Technician License
Preferred License: Not Applicable
