Well after some encouragement from a friend I decided that I would try to post what I’m doing with some of my shortages and how I’m handling them. Hope this helps. Please feel free to comment.
You never really know what’s going to be the next thing on my "FUN" list, ok it’s not really fun but what else can I call here in a public forum. But this one caught me by surprise. Metronidazole piggybacks. Now when I found out about it I still had a decent amount in stock. But I know if they would start several patients on it I would be up a creek without a boat OR A PADDLE! Well I e-mailed some of my fellow buyers to see what they knew. We were all in the same creek. So I randomly e-mail a rep. I got the surprise of the day. My Baxter rep got right back to me and let me know that my facility had a allocation of 2 boxes per week.
So I hope that you all found the moral of my story...
Never go boating alone.....no no that wasn’t it.
Never give up. You never know where that silver lining may be.
