Message to Sandy victims

The National Pharmacy Purchasing Association wishes to extend our concern for the Eastern Seaboard suffering under Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy. We commend the brave and dedicated Pharmacy Buyers, as well as the rest of the healthcare and emergency Community who are vitally needed in this deadly crisis.
We would like to hear your stories from this experience. If you could share what you, as your facility’s Pharmacy Buyer did as a participant in both Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief before and/or after, we would like to publish your stories in the next issue of your official publication, Pharmacy Purchasing Outlook. Send your story, preferably in a Word document by email attachment, to Mike@PharmacyPurchasing.com
Due to this natural disaster, NPPA will double the normal Member Incentive for articles contributed that relate to your experiences preparing or dealing with Hurricane Sandy. So if you’re a current NPPA Member, any story published with between 300-550 words, receives $50 for your efforts (normally $25), and $100 for over 550 words (normally $50).
NPPA is aware this is a stressful time for you, your facility, and your families, and that it may take time for you to contribute your experiences with us and your fellow Pharmacy Buyer colleagues. But remember that by sharing your story, you may be able to help another get through this situation, or help better prepare someone when another disaster arises. Our thoughts are with you in this time of crisis.
