We are an all McKesson (almost :)) hospital. So are a few hospitals that I know. The difference I have seen (and this started a few years back) is that McKesson offers you a whole package while Cardinal focuses more on the distribution value (although they seem to be investin in automation lately too). with McKesson you'll have Distribution, Automation, Clinical, etc. "talk" and interact with each other. This means an interfaced system of medication management starting from the delivery of drugs. Limited only to buyer's area; the bigest benefit will probably be the ability of automation (centralized or decentralized) to submit and receive automatic orders to wholesaler.
