What do any of you use for bed sores? For more than 20 years we have been compounding Canterbury ointment (first concocted by a local nursing home of the same name) consisting of A&D ointment, Desitin, petroleum jelly and lidocaine powder. Supposedly, the lidocaine adds a numbing effect.
We spend hours every week making it. I'd really like a viable alternative to take to my boss and the clinical staff. I just can't see that Flander's, etc. won't work just as well.
I'd appreciate your feedback!
Thanks,
Ruth
