I noticed the question regarding finding a new commercial type tablet/pill splitter. We have never packaged a 1/2 tablet dose here until this situation came up this week. The drug is expensive and flat priced for 15 mg and 30 mg. 15 mg was unavailable so I ordered 30 mg. We split the 30 mg tablet and sent it up for the 15 mg dose and saved the other half for the next dose. What is the correct way to charge when the cost is the same? $ 234.50 for 15 mg or 30 mg? What is the normal procedure?
