I am curious to learn what kind of work-around anyone might have for the nitroglycerin infusion supply problem. Specifically the 50mg in 250 ml dextrose 5%. Thanks

We put a D5 250mL bag and a 50mg vial of NTG in a 9x12 ziplok and label it. The RN/doctor can mix it themselves. It seems to be working fine so far.

Is my information dated, or can you now dispense NTG in plastic? Both Abbott and Baxter dispensed their solutions in glass only.

We use BBraun's excel bags which are latex free and DEHP free and are suitable for anything that was previously dispensed in glass containers.
Thanks for the info, Ruth. I've learned my New Thing for the Day!
