Tablet Splitter

What does everyone use to split tablets? We use those small plastic pocket splitters where you have to split one tablet at a time. This is what we have always used. Well I have been doing some moonlighting at another facility that has the Tru-Cut Tablet Cutter which is exponentially faster. So I tried to order one from Healthcare Logistics and they told me that it has been discontinued and they don't have any other multi tablet cutting systems. So what does everyone else use? Thanks for the help.

Re: Tablet Splitter

We have the Tru-Cut as well. Have for years - use it especially with prepacking Metoprolol 12.5mg. Works like a dream. I didn't know that HCL had discontinued it... Sorry to hear that. It is a great system.

You should order your replacement blades and plastic trays while you can. From what I was told once they run out thats it.

Re: Tablet Splitter

This company has a BullsEye tablet splitter which splits 16 tabs per minute. It is made in Canada but this seems to be the American site. Good luck.

Re: Tablet Splitter

Here is another place that has such devices, everything you can think of doing to a pill, they have it! What is is about Wisconsin and pills or is that better referred to as tablets?
