Re: Pulling Outdates

We pull the current month plus two months. For crash carts, we try to have at least 6 months dating on them.

Re: Pulling Outdates

We do 90 days on crash carts and then we pull other outdates monthly. I am now looking at outdates to see if there is a way to reduce this waste further.

Re: Pulling Outdates

Our crash carts we try to keep a 90 expiration day on them. With items in the pyxis we have our outdates print daily for 3 days in advance. This has cut down on alot of waste. In the acutal pharmacy each tech has there own "area" and we try to pull for 30 days.

Re: Pulling Outdates

Each tech in our department is assigned an area that includes the pharmacy department, the units and our satellites.
They pull out dates one month at a time at the end of each month. Our codes boxes are handled the same way. We bring them down to be updated in the month they will expire. We try to give each one at least six months of good dated products when possible.
