I thought I had read somewhere that Hycotuss and it's generics were taken off the market/dc'ed. But I cannont find any information on it.

Anyone know where I could find some info.

Hycotuss® (hydrocodone 5mg, guaifenesin 100mg) fell under two FDA mandates in the past two years. The Marketed Unapproved Drugs: Compliance Policy, released in June 2006, which the FDA stated any drug approved by the FDA before 1962 was subject to review (from the March, 2007 PPO). Of those unapproved drugs, most of the long-acting guaifenesin products were taken off the market. Then in September 2007, over 200 hydrocodone products were taken off the market by the same policy (from the October, 2007 PPO).

Now, according to the Facts and Comparisons web page, there are still several generics that may (I repeat, may) be still available. Of those listed were: Pneumotussin®, CodiClear®, Hydrocodone GF®, KwelCof®, and Vitussin®. If your wholesaler has any of these products, then you may be in luck
