Re: Edrophonium

There was a company at the conference that said they're coming back out with Enlon but now I can't remember who it is...

Now that we know its coming back, anyone remember from where?

Re: Edrophonium

Hi Gerry,

I just went through this at our facility. No one is making it anymore. Regonol (Pyridostigmine) 5mg/ml amps by Sandoz is the only drug I could find for reversal of Succinylcholine. It is supplied 10 per box It takes a little longer to work than the Enlon. Instead of 1 vial of Enlon, I need to supply 4 amps for the average size adult in the anesthesia trays.
It's an old drug that used to be supplied by Organon and we had not used it for a long time. I was surprised that it was still around! McKesson had it in stock so I was able to make the switch after I figured it out.
