Re: Betadine Eye Drops

Where are you able to get the 30mL bottle? Cardinal shows mfg out and says there is no emergency supply to be had!
I had about 4 bottles and the decision was made to buy 1mL dropper bottles (we use Healthcare Logistics), go to a hood, disassemble the dropper bottle, pull up a mL in a syringe, inject into the dropper, put the whole thing back together again and label as 1mL. We also had to set up a 1mL charge in Pyxis, but at least we aren't throwing any away.
This is more of an annoyance than anything and it sure is labor-intensive, but I just do what I'm told!!!

My Cardinal distribution center is nearly always out
of this item. Amerisource usually has 100+ on hand.
Kind of makes you wonder.

Re: Re: Re: Betadine Eye Drops

That sounds really fishy! According to Cardinal customer service, they don't have any, there's no supply in sight and there is no emergency or dropship supply available.
Wonder where/how Amerisource is getting theirs?
This a time when I wish I could order from both wholesalers!!
Matt, is Aurora your DC? I assume it is since you're in Hinsdale. That's mine and I'm in Valparaiso IN. Have they tried getting from another DC for you? I think I'll ask them to do that for me and see what happens.

Amerisource allocates Sterile Betadine Opth. That's probably why it looks like they have that much in stock.
