There's a petition on the site that we want to send to Congress to make Pharmacy Buyer Day an officially recognized day. Response so far has been surprisingly sluggish. The link is on the "What's New" section towards the middle. All it asks for is your name and an email address. The email address is not seen on the petition site, but Petitiononline needs it to validate the signatures. NO ONE can see your email address, and they guarantee against spam.

To make it even easier, the link is HERE. I'm shooting for some kind of report to give by Conference time.

We're trying to get our day on the professional calendars like Pharmacy Week and Pharmacy Technician Day is now.

I cut and pasted the page with the "Click here to sign petition" button and forwarded to my entire Pharmacy staff to get their signatures. If everyone could do this, we could garner more signatures.

We're working on other projects that we're trying to get the wholesalers and the GPO's involved. We're trying to do a tote stuff of our materials. Many years ago, we used to go to the wholesalers with reams of promotional stuff, and their people would put one in every delivery (not every tote). Seems as though now we're having difficulty doing even that now.

It is like the mouse who fell in a bowl of buttermilk. He felt like he just kept swimming in circles, trying not to drown. Eventually he made cream and climbed out. Each person who puts their name on the petition is helping us buyers rise to the surface where we deserve to be.
