Pharmacy Purchasing Outlook is looking for speakers on a wide variety of topics for this year's Conference, including but not exclusive to: Automated Dispensing Machines (Pyxis, Omnicell, etc.). Processes for start-up, policies, and obstacles encountered, both during start-up and maintenance. CSOS, and coordinating narcotics with pharmacists. Bar-Coding Point of Care (BPOC). USP <797> and the actual cost of this new Federal Policy.
If there are other topics that might be of general interest, please feel free to suggest them. We're looking for new, fresh ideas.
In addition, we are looking for a few experienced Buyers to head up a panel on Mentoring for beginners, with some basic Buyer practices.
We are also looking for a few presenters that would speak for only a few minutes, on “Best Practices,” to cover some of the hot topics of the day. Topics like:
- Buyer Job Description
- FDA Recalls
- Purpose of GPO’s
- Wholesaler Chargebacks
- Drug Recalls
- Shortages
Or some other subjects you'd like discussed.
