Re: Re: Conference

Thank you Colleen.
How many vendors usually attend. I attended the MedAssets Summit last year; is it similar?

Kellie:

The Pharmacy Purchasing Networking Conference has the largest representation of pharmacy vendors in the country, second only to ASHP! We have over 80 companies, from proprietary companies like Baxter to generic companies to secondary wholesalers and everything in-between. You won't find a larger group of vendors who are interested only in you; not your Director, not your Clinical Pharmacist, only you, the buyer. No other Pharmacy meeting can make that claim.

The added perk is that the meeting is in Las Vegas. You are GUARANTEED to have stuff to do after the daily sessions, and if not, anyone at the Conference will gladly give you suggestions. Check out the articles about the meeting in the PPO reprints section of the website, http://www.pharmacypurchasing.com

The 11th Annual Pharmacy Purchasing Conference is a great opportunity to network with colleagues from all over the country. You will also meet with your GPO in a break-out session conducted by the group's top contract negotiators. Last year 90 pharmaceutical companies displayed, and we expect even more this year. The vendors tell us they truly like our convention because every attendee they see on the display floor is an actual buyer. Many vendors have told us that our convention is the best convention they display at all year. Each major wholesaler also conducts a break-out session for their users. Last year over 400 pharmacy buyers attended and we expect that number to increase. Keep reading Pharmacy Purchasing Outlook for details of the event as we further develop the agenda. But know that every item on the agenda will pertain to institutional pharmacy purchasing. And a petite suite room at The Orleans Hotel and Casino will cost you only $65 plus tax, single or double.
