We are doing fine here in central Mississippi. There was a lot of wind damage in this area. Many people had trees down, some on houses. Overall, nothing compared to our friends on the coast. The University of Missisissipi Medical Center set up a disaster command center which served as a 24 hour operations center for the hospital. We have been able to help many people displaced by Katrina, both inpatient and outpatient. Many of the physicians, nurses and pharmacists volunteered their time to work at a "make shift" clinic set up at the MS Coliseum. This gave access to those that needed medical services including medications.
Thanks for checking on us.
PS: As far as I know, St Dominic Hospital was unaffected by the storm.
