Be selfcontrolled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

I just want to take the time to send this reminder. Many times in our daily routines, it is so easy to get caught up in the hassles that we face that we forget about the spiritual warfare that is continually occurring. The enemy is continuously searching around for someone to devour, so be aware and alert. Just as a bit of encouragement to that is that the Bible compares him to a roaring lion; well in the book of Genesis God gave man the authority over all the beasts of the field. So whether he is as a snake, lion, or anything else, we have authority. Finally, Jesus gave us the power that rested in Him as we are all, once receiving Him, of the same vine, connected to the same power, and he even stated we would do greater things than Him. Let us take our authority over the lions that are roaring after us seeking to devour, the snakes in our grasses, the dirty rats sneaking around our situations trying to foil our goals, and the mischief monkeys that won't get off of our backs. Be the beastmaster through Christ who strengthens us and fall victim no more, in the name of Jesus.
