Thanks for the information. We recently changed to these new Ventolin inhalers w/ counters. We didn't get much push back from RT, but I haven't heard anything from the surgery department. From what I understood RT already had this "adapter" that would eliminate the problem with the counter device. The savings were just too substantial not to move forward with this brand. We were previously using ProAir, as well. Thanks for the information! Take care!
We switched from Proventil HFA to Ventolin HFA about 6 weeks ago. I contacted the respiratory director first and she was pleased with the savings! I've not heard any neagtive feedback from respiriatory or anesthesia, but I know I would have if there is a problem.
But based your posts, I'll email respiratory to see if they have the adapter--thanks!
