Last year around this time (well, just actually after the Conference), I mentioned that those buyers who are looking for opportunities outside the hospital environment will have nearly 100 companies at your disposal, some who might be looking for people with just your experience and training. It's not unusual for Buyers to transition from a lab coat to a business suit.

Anyway, those who are thinking of testing the waters might want to bring along a few resumes to the Display Area while you're at the Conference. Now, when someone gives you a pen, you give them a resume. Who knows - 100 companies is 100 possible prospects. The worse anyone can do to you is say no. And a 'No' while you're still gainfully employed is not so hard to take. You practically have nothing to lose! Those are pretty good odds in any job hunt!
