Please update

I was looking back through old posts and there are several people we haven't heard updates from in awhile, either how they are doing or how their loved ones are doing. There are many more than this, I know, but here's some names I came across and I know it's been awhile since we had an update:
Nora, Donald, Andy Watson, Leslie, Phil from NJ, Rebeca, Meg, Zack, Annie, Rose, Ariane, Debbie, Jennie, Cindy K.............Please let us all know how you are doing!

Re: Please update

Hi Emily,

I've posted a few times here and there, but been busy. Mom's doing well. She just had another round of Avastin/CPT-11 last week.

I am also wondering about Zack. He hasn't posted in awhile. Hope everyone else is doing well, too.

Re: Please update

Emily,

I do not post here a lot, although I am constantly monitoring messages throughout the day. My heart goes out to all people here on the board who are the patients or who have their loved ones with GMB. It's just not in my nature to post a lot.

Anyway, my father finally started the Pazopanib - Lapatinib clinical trial yesterday, and it will be 4 weeks until his next MRI. He is in good spirits, probably from not realizing fully what he is dealing with.

I was going through old posts looking for some medical information, and I did notice a lot of the names of people who no longer post on the board. It made me feel really sad...

Re: Please update

Still stable, hanging in there. Still not cured, still not worse. I guess you guys know how it goes.

Re: Please update

Hi Emily,

Thanks for asking...

My sister, Maribel, is doing OK. Her last MRI showed some shrinkage; Wed. the 25th she's got another MRI, so I'll keep you all informed.
Right now she's on Avastin (for its anti-swelling properties),CCNU,Ruta & Cal Phos.
Her left-side vision is impaired and the steroids have weakened her legs, so walking is quite a challenge for her .
For a while there, she couldn't go on the computer or look at her mail or even have a conversation, but she's doing a lot better now.

Re: Please update

Sometimes people do not write any update because news are just too sad and devastating. My friend lost her fight. That's why I never wrote again on this web site. I just want to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped me with words of hope and encouragement, and also with some practical infos. Keep fighting!

Re: Please update

Thanks for asking. I'm doing great. I did have a seizure this past November. That was a big shocker cause I had gone like ten years without having one. It has been over 5 months since my most recent one, so I'll be driving in a few weeks, yeah! My last MRI was in November and still shows no cancer. The next one will be in August. I did have a neuro-psych test recently. Not fun at all. I should get those results back in a few weeks. As always, everyone is in my prayers. God bless.
