Queen of Babylon and New York City

There she stands on her island in New York Harbor holding her torch of freedom; Americans believe she is the symbol of their liberty in the Land of the Free. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Statue of Liberty was given to America by French Freemasons, her mirror image stands on an island in the River Seine in Paris. These two statues are representations of Queen Semiramis, with the rays of the Sun around her head. Placing a crown of rays about the head was a way of showing sun worship. She is not holding the torch of liberty, but the torch of the illuminated ones, the ruling Elite. The Statue of Liberty is a symbol which says: 'We control you and we are telling you so, but you are too stupid to see it'!

Ancient cultures had a habit of changing a 'goddesses' name when they adopted her into their own culture. Some of the names and titles that this 'Queen' is known under are the following: Isis (Egyptian) , Mother of God, Oaster (Easter Eastern-Star), Ishtar(Babylonian), Astarte (syrian), Cybele (Roman), Ashtoreth (Isreal), Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, Venus, Goddess of Hunting and Childbirth, Artemis, Diana (Ephesus), Helena (Greek), Goddess of Crafts, War and Wisdom, Athena, Minerva, Lady of the Towers, Goddess of Growing Things, Demeter, The Holy Ghost, The Supreme Dove (Sumerian), Ceres, Gaea, Terra, Protector of Marriage and Women, the Sister and Wife of Zeus in Greece, the Wife of Jupiter in Rome, Hera, Juno, Goddess of the Hearth, Hestia, Vesta, Wife and Sister of Kronos, Sammurant (Assyrian), Rhea, Queen of Tara, Ish-Tara, the Indian deity, Sami-Rama-isi or Semi-Rama (Vedic) and Mother Mary(Rome)


Before Lady Liberty was used as a symbol for America, images of women were already widely being used to symbolize the traits, values and hidden meanings of the US of A. Her first appearance was as a semi-naked, stern Indian Queen, who was riding astride a large armadillo and carrying a tomahawk Later the Indian Queen was replaced with a 'whiter' version of a Native American and had a rattlesnake as her companion. During the American Revolution, she took on a more Greek appearance with a toga and high-laced sandals. This was replaced by 'Columbia' (the dove). Outfitted in neo classic robes, a liberty cap, liberty pole, and a dress filled with stars and stripes and a kinder 'prettier' face then the stern images portrayed before her. The Statue of Liberty is crowned with a helmet of sunray spikes, an allusion to the headgear of the Colossus of Rhodes, a monument to the Sun-God Helios standing astride a Greek harbor, which is said to be one of the key influences on the New York statue. The Statue of Liberty's gown folds around her like a classical Greek toga.

Liberty Statue has a distinct Babylonian flavor in its design. Her Identity is written in her shape. She stands on a base patterned after Babylonian Step pyramids (ziggurrats). This pedestal is designed after the 'Tower of Babel'. She wears her turreted crown as Rhea, Cybele, Diana and others before her did. Any effort to trace the origins of the myth, legend, and lore of this goddess-worship will eventually lead one back to a single historical figure; Semiramis, wife of Nimrod and Queen of Babylon

The Legend of Semiramis is said to be based on the real historical personage of 'Sammur-amat' which means 'gift of the sea'. Tradition states that this woman was rejected by her mother and left to die in a bed of reeds in the water. By an act of 'miracles' doves found the infant and brought up the child, stealing the milk and, later, the cheese which she needed from nearby shepherds.

She was found by these shepherds and raised as one of their own daughters. Semi was beautiful. Her beauty was legendary. Even the most beautiful of women looked plain next to her. One legend also has it that she was a brothel/inn keeper in the city of Erech. It would not do to have an ex-harlot upon the throne, so a polite fiction was invented that she was a virgin sprung from the sea (like Venus) at Nimrod's landing, and therefore a suitable bride for the Emperor. She also had twins from a previous marriage to a man named Onnes, an advisor to King Nimrod who 'conveniently' committed suicide so Semi could marry the King.

The founder of Babylon, according to ancient texts and legend, was Nimrod. Nimrod was described as a 'mighty tyrant' and one of the 'giants' who walked Biblical lands. The Arabs believed that after the flood it was Nimrod who built or rebuilt the amazing structure at Baalbek in Lebanon with its three stones weighing 800 tons each. It was said that he ruled the region that is now Lebanon and, according to Genesis, the first centers of Nimrod's kingdom were Babylon, Akkad and other places in the land of Shinar (Sumer). Later he expanded further into Assyria to build cities like Nineveh where many of the Sumerian Tablets were found.

Nimrod and Semiramis have remained the key deities of the ruling elite to this day, under many different names and symbols. Nimrod was symbolized as a fish and Semiramis as a fish and a dove. The Catholic Church later adopted these symbols and many others of Babylonian origin. Semiramis is likely to be symbolic of the Sumerian Ninkharsag, Nimrod, the fish-god Dagon. Semiramis was also symbolized as a fish because the Babylonians believed fish to be an aphrodisiac and it became the symbol for the Goddess of Love.

One of her personages was as a 'Dove' holding an 'Olive Branch'. This, of course, echo's the story of Noah and the great flood. Nimrod was represented as God the Father, while she was The Immaculate 'Virgin' Mother of their son Ninus, born on December 25th. Ninus (Tammuz) was supposed to have been crucified with a lamb at his feet and placed in a cave. When the Stone was rolled away from the cave's entrance, three days later, his body had miraculously disappeared. Sound Familiar? This three way 'trinity' later became known as Osiris-Isis and Horus in Egypt. You might want to research the history of Mithrism and those similarities. Indeed, the names and titles of most of the Babylonian deities are Sanskrit (vedic) and many are still worshipped in India or at least their legends are to be found in the Puranas.
