Good word, Helena! Thanks for posting! I'd only add one comment: We are called to be salt and light in our culture, and to occupy til He comes. If we retreat from society, we lose the right to speak into people's lives,(and to our culture) as they see us as unable to relate to their lives, being perceived as "too heavenly minded, and no earthly good." That's not saying that we should compromise, but rather be in this world, but not "of" it.

Thank you for sharing your heart with me and thank you for the kind words about my article. I don’t see or hear kind words too often so it is a real treat to hear or read them.

However, though I have often heard the phrase “Don’t be so heavenly minded that you are of no earthly good”, I don't know if withdrawal spells defeat. In fact, the Bible teaches otherwise:

Colossians 3:1-2 - “If then you were raised with the Mashiach, seek those things which are above, where our Mashiach is, sitting at the right hand of Elohim. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Further on in the same chapter, Paul said:

Colossians 3:16-17 - “Let the word of our Mashiach dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to our Adonai. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of Adonai Yahshua, giving thanks to Elohim our Abba through Him.”

These Scriptures are fairly clear that our eyes should be on Yahshua and His teachings, not on the world’s wisdom, which includes all the stuff being said about Elenin that may or may not be true.

Also, when you think about some of the greatest men of the Bible who spoke to and led their generations, many of them started out as shepherds that for the most part lived quiet lives as hermits out in the country where their sheep grazed far from the towns and cities and where they only had the stars and their herds for company at night. Jacob and King David are two of the best examples.

I am also a good case in point! For the most part, I have lived the last 18 years of my life as a hermit. If I had not, I would not have found the time and focus to research, write, illustrate and publish the 2500 pages in my Language of God Series books and to get started on the fiction books I am working on.

That’s also where my focus needs to be right now instead of on Elenin or the coming economic crash and coming great war: on Yahshua as I work on finishing those fiction books! :-)
