Symantec - the makers of the Norton Applications provides an excellent page at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ with virus advises, hoaxes and general information re viruses. It even provides fixes for most of the virus around the web. Add it to your favourites and visit it regularly.
There is no better protection than your own anti-virus program and for it to be effective it needs to have its definitions updated regularly - at least weekly is the safest method.
Please take care chatters as its very easy to unknowingly upload viruses to your computer as two hosts found out recently.
