Beach houses or cottages

My wife and I love to golf and snorkle. We are looking for a beach house or cottage that will afford us some peace, quiet and beauty. We are looking at Granda Bahama Island because of all of the golf courses there. Unless the other islands have easy access to Grand Bahama for golfing. We plan on spending 2 weeks in July.

A nice clean place w/ a king sized bed and close to the water would be wonderful. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated.

My wife and I have a studio condo on Lucayan Bay. It is on the 8th floor overlooking the bay and the ocean. It has color TV, VCR, CD Player, Fireplace, all new appliances, and two bicycles. If you want to see pictures, visit http://www.bahamasvg.com/804hhtowers or E-mail me at calm@lilly.com

Re: Beach houses or cottages

Norm, my husband and I have just returned from GBI and had a wonderful vacation. In our travels we noticed two new little cottages/bungalows at Paradise Cove. We didn't get inside but spoke to two women who were staying there. They were very pleased. Two bedrooms, a bath, living room and kitchen right on the beach and around the corner from the snorkeling and beach shack at Paradise Cove. (the snorkeling was wonderful!). It is a bit of a drive from the other restaurants, night life etc. but it certainly looked liked a peaceful paradise.

Re: Beach houses or cottages

I believe Cal's place is in Harbour House Towers. If so, it's a very short bike ride to Lucayan Country Club (a world class golf course), and a short bike ride to the Our Lucaya Reef Course, but you would probably need to arrange tours for snorkling. The cottages that Nancy refers too are on the beach at Paradise Cove, by far the best place here to snorkle from the beach. It is, however, about 20 minutes by car from the two Royal Oasis courses and 30 minutes from the two Our Lucaya courses.

Our condo is in a small complex on the south shore of the island , just steps from the beach. We have 2 bedrooms with king size bed, living room, dining room, kitchen etc.
