years in school
I am an ESL teacher and I am not sure how to help some of the mainstream teachers when they ask me what to do with a student who is two years older than what they should be for the grade in which they are in. I believe that many of these students in elementary school will eventually reach high school and feel like they are to old to be there. I know one particular teacher who would like to advance the student to the proper grade even though he may not be academically ready. What should I do and say? |
