Piddlehinton Army camp & Long live the king...

Hi Folks
Just to let you know I have been on a visit to the LONG LIVE THE KING loc, the army camp has been somewhat renovated, but many of the locs used are still there. EG the firing range bullet catcher is still there.

Re: Piddlehinton Army camp & Long live the king...Novel

Survivors Novel to be reprinted
Orion books will be reprinting Terry Nation's novel, Survivors. When it is released I highly recommend reading it. It is a very prescient and compelling novel.

I'd be keen to see how this looks nowadays, the old Vs the new. I recently found a few old photos via 'google images' but am keen to see more. Do you plan to upload some photos to the website Bob?

They are reprinting the original book eh?

And there's me just spending £25 on a copy off Ebay.

Typical.

Re: Piddlehinton Army camp & Long live the king...

I've just completed uploading the Piddlehinton photos, enjoy (location visits 2008 page)
I have also created a new page of "Other" Tv & films - some Dad's Army info has just been uploaded, including a Video of "Don't tell him your name" re-enactment atthe original location in Thetford (close to where I live)
Must go, going away for a few days.

Re: Piddlehinton Army camp & Long live the king...

Thanks a million Bob. When I first heard they were regenerating the camp I imagined most of the huts being demolished to make way for new modern industrial units. I'm very relieved to see that this is not the case!
