Courtney Turner

Due to a tragic accident former panther cheerleader, Courtney Turner has passed away. She was currently following her cheerleading dreams at Austin Peay State University and was a UCA staff member. During the Christmas party we will be sending around a donation plate for her scholarship fund. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Re: Courtney Turner

Princess .1,
I can't believe it....WHY? Why did you have to leave us so soon? Why did this have to happen to you? Why didn't we get the chance to say goodbye? I guess only God knows the real answers, but there has to be a reason in it all. I just keep telling myself it's not real...everything's gonna be okay. Then the reality of it all just hits suddenly and I feel such pain and weakness. I can't believe this is really true. Oh gosh, Court, I feel sick without you and so does everyone else. You touched so many people throughout your life, and you mean the world to us all. We are sure going to miss you and the joy you've brought to our lives. At least we can hang on to all of those memories of the laughter, the good times, the sadness, the bad times, the secrets, the inside jokes, the times we needed each other the most and we were always there for each other, the sisterhood (CACA's...we 4 dancers will never be the same without our 5th position), the road trips, the dance competitions, the dinners afterwards, dance recitals, the basketball games, the football games, the dances, the middle school talent shows, the elementary bus rides, the middle/high school car rides, the bike rides around the neighborhood, the partner cartwheels during recess, walking Micheal and Jeny to the coke machines, our duet, the slumber parties, running through the sprinklers, sunbathing in your driveway, the duct tape wars, the flinstones, the carwashes, chasing the firetrucks down the street and playing in the fire hydrants, sitting around the kitchen having midnight girl talks, sliding down the stairs in sleeping bags and breaking your toe, the list goes on and on. But, the most important memory is the love that we shared. The five of us had a bond that could never be broken...sure we had our up's and down's, but no matter what, we made it through and we would always be there for one another. Girl, it's not going to be the same without you. We love you so VERY much!! I just hope that you are up there having the time of your life, living in luxury. I hope you have a pink majestic castle in the clouds where all you've ever dreamt for has come true. Watch over your family...they're going to need your love, support, and protection. "Shake it" up there with the Big Guy for me and your dad!! Hehe! Tell all of our loved ones hello, and be patient as we make our way to you. You were once a princess, now you're an angel... and FOREVER you will be in our hearts. muah!
Lots and lots of love,
Steph

Re: Courtney Turner

Thank you very much Tiffany for doing this for Courtney. I knew Courtney threw a different manner. She was always in the Fairest of the Fair pageant and I was her number one fan! I always wanted her to win. Courtney was a beautiful young lady inside and outside. That is what made me her number one fan. The one year I got to go to camp with Kenwood jv cheerleaders, Courtney was there, she was amazing. She was a very talented girl. Last year at the fairest of the fair she told me that she would help Tressie with her back tuck. Now you know she had to be beautiful if she wanted to help Tressie. The last time I saw Courtney she was at my favorite store working.....Old Navy. Even though it was real Early in the morning she was Smiling. Courtney always had a smile on her face. I will always remember Courtney smiling. We love you Courtney and will miss you greatly. Love Melinda (your # 1 fan) and Tressie
