The Plants Must Grow! - 10/25/07

The Plants Must Grow!

One amazing, yet simple truth is that plants (created by God) have the power to crack even some of the strongest cements created by man, when they truly begin to grow. Sidewalks often are cracked all the way across by a small plant, still in its infancy.

As a side note, we can also see how the power of the plant is not in quick, swift and blunt force, but slow gradual progression upwards. As we just move upwards in God’s timing, even the hardest “ceilings” above us will have to give way to our advancement! And it doesn’t have to wait until we “get there;” we will be breaking through obstacles even at early stages on the way to the higher levels!

Nevertheless, when a seed has been planted it has to grow, and it is nearly impossible to stop it from growing. One thing that we have to remember is that our hearts, in terms of consciousness, are like soils. Whatever we put into it, whatever thoughts and emotions that we allow to become firmly planted, are seeds as well. These seeds, then, will eventually grow and must come out.

Matthew 12:34 …For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matthew 15:18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.'
Luke 6:45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.
Romans 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

The seeds we plant within will determine the fruit we bear, and the fruit we bear determines our condition. As given in the last scripture, faith is cultivated in our heart, so then when we release the fruit of faith through our mouth, salvation and the glory of God is the result. This is the most important seed of all!

Knowing this, let us not try to stop the plants of faith from growing. What goes in will grow and come out, lest we become cracked like that sidewalk or planting jars that are too small. If we are trying to be the jar that looks righteous but are planted with seeds of wrath, hatred, and all forms of immorality, before long that pretty outer shell is going to show its cracks and the evils are going to come out. The only pesticide for that darkness is the light of truth and repentance.

But also, if when God gives us seeds – seeds of talents and ideas, seeds of wisdom, seeds of leadership – let us not hinder those as well. God is always looking for ways to bless us, and usually he gives us many seeds that we may grow many harvests. We shall and we must stop holding back the gifts, ideas, thoughts, and talents that God has given us, but speak them, release them, and let them flourish for the kingdom. We must stop sitting on our dreams and visions by keeping our mouths closed and taking no actions out of fear. God has not given us the spirit of fear! Instead, let your voice be heard, the plants must grow! Allow the seeds He has planted to grow, and release the fruit through your words and actions. God has called many to evangelize of His kingdom, not only through ministry, but through business, through the arts, through sciences, through politics, and so forth. You have a calling; follow it and do not hinder it. The plants must grow!

And finally, when your plants bear their fruit, eat from it thereof and give from it unto others and to the work of the Lord, that more seeds may continue to be planted and your harvest may abound more abundantly and ever-increasing to the glory of God! Bless you in the name of Jesus.

By the grace of God,

Kelvin
