site for static caravan
We are thinking of buying a previously used static caravan (approx 4 years old) and then looking around for a site who would have a spare pitch to site our caravan on. We are looking for a quiet site in the Devon/Dorset/Somerset area. We live in Bristol and would like to be about 2 hours away or less from the caravan. Does anyone know of any sites that might be able to help or can anyone offer any general advice about this idea. Many thanks, Paul Ford |

hello, as a static owner for 8years i would advise against it. our site changed hands,we cannot get any site to take a van on.they want you to buy from them.there was a site who took a few on but wanted £4000 for the privilage.our site fees have doubled this season(silver sands scotland). the NCC etc. are volountary organisations if they leave them you have no protection. the only way to sell our c`van is to someone building a home,we will get next to nothing.our site i believe is turning into a park homes site.to give you an idea of the profit they buy them for £10,000 - £20,000. thet sell them from £115,000. i hope this is of some help. |
