Message:   That would be a great idea, maybe you could do an online petition and then present it to the council, i do feel that section needs some sort of safety railings, ive seen young children walking along the edge when the water is high and fast moving, i would hate for a child to fall in and get swept away.

More on your idea of a plaque, i think a very good idea, berwick needs to celebrate its history in any way it can, i took my 9 yr old nephew around the walls recently and he was fascinated with the history, how many people live here but know nothing about it? Im originally from Hampshire but i know alot more about Berwick than some true Berwick folks.
