Message:   Hi,
Firstly what a great site this is - well done.

Now the reason for contacting you, one of the Fairmile B's owned by the company I manage was RML 535 built by Weatherhead & Son at Cockenzie in 1941.
She has been laid up for the past 26 years but is still floating nicely even though her frames etc are now poor to say the least.
I am desperately trying to find a photo of the build/launch of a Fairmile B to include in a book I am writing about Fairmile B's, The Western Lady Ferry Service (which still operated B's up until 2006) and their home shipyard in Devon.
Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Even stories of the difficulties building pre-fabricated design vessels would be of great interest.

I live in hope..........knowing that I will probably die in despair!

Yours
Sandie
