Welcome to Luke C Jackson's official message board.  This is a great place to ask questions and make suggestions about my writing, and listen to what other people have to say.  I'll try to drop in whenever I can and answer your posts.  One warning is that, in the sections labelled 'The Unclaimed', 'Summer's End' and 'Sleeper', you may find some spoilers; if you want to avoid these, but want to read a bit of the stories themselves, I recommend you check out the pages dedicated to them on my site. And remember: people of all different ages will be showing up here, so please keep your comments clean.

Current releases: 'Sleeper'

If you've read 'Sleeper', I'd love to know what you thought of it. Did you like my first foray into the spy genre? Will you be reading the sequel when it's released in 2007?

That's some terrific feedback, Kavithaa. I thought your name sounded Indian! When I began writing the book, I figured that so few Australian kids would have been exposed to the Indian way of life that they'd find it really interesting to read about it in a fictional novel like this one (although I would never claim to understand all facets of life in India, which was amazingly complex and sometimes very confusing to me). You'll have to keep a look out for the sequel to 'Sleeper', set in Mexico, Guatemala and Cuba, some other very interesting places!

Re: Current releases: 'Sleeper'

I really loved the book. Pace, excitement, tight writing and all in India. Pretty much everything I look for in a book. I reckon it would make a great movie or TV (series?) show.

Sara is a pretty cool character -- slightly flawed but able to kick butt when it is called for. You know a book has you hooked when you feel sympathy for the lead character and I certainly did.

Emma (our daughter) also read and loved your book.

Re: Current releases: 'Sleeper'

I have just finished reading Sleeper and I seriously could not put it down! I read the book in a day as I was dying to know what the ending would be - not at all what I expected!

I think that Luke has done an amazing job on this novel, and i cant wait for the next one to come out! :)
