General chat
If you have some general thoughts about this website or my work in general, or want to introduce yourself, this is the place to do it. An upgrade of my previous 'guestbook'.

Re: General chat
luke you are the most terrifyingly multi-talented, clean living young artist in the world. i'm torn between admiration and fear. if kelly ever runs away with a goateed horiculturist i would like you to marry my daughter, i know she's young but i trust you.

This is an awesome website about an awesome person; a rare combination these days. I expect I will be posting more in the future but for now I just say I'm grateful to be so close to the start of the post page :P

Re: General chat
'Wannabe writer', thanks so much for your comment. Coming to speak at Thornbury was really enjoyable for me, too. You know, when I was around your age (guessing from the age of the students I spoke to througout the day) I listened to John Marsen give a talk on writing, and it was so inspiring that I immediately began thinking seriously about being a writer; if you've already been thinking about it, you're doing better than I was. Good luck!
Luke.

Re: General chat
I think the best place to start would be by joining the Victorian Writers Centre(http://www.writers-centre.org/). Membership costs about $50 per year, and will keep you informed about upcoming competitions and seminars. It also has all the latest industry news, so you may be able to find out about venues for publication through them. The other way to find out where to be published is to look for Australian print and Online publications in the same genre as your writing, then check out their submission guidelines. Hope that helps.

It has me on the edge of my seat!
