Site/Forum Improvements
I recently had an email from a visitor who has stopped coming because of all of the 'pop-up' ads. These pop-up ads are generated because I use free services to host this site and run this forum. I do not have the funding to put money into the site. However, with donations, this site can easily be made "pop-up" free. Currently, the site resides at DirectNic. There is a US$15/year fee for this. For an additional US$30/year it can be hosted 'bannerless' - one banner gone (the DirectNic banner on the www.phages.org website). The forum itself is a service of bravenet.com. For a price of US$109.90/year this can be an 'advertisement free' service. If any of you wish to make donations in the cause of eliminating advertising from this forum/website - please do so using the "please donate to this site" link in the sidebar of http://www.phages.org.
