galloping to the stop
I was wondering if and when you start galloping your two year olds to their stops? What I mean really is what age is OK? We already know we are riding horses that their knees haven't closed yet. I was just getting some heat for galloping my colt down and stopping, but man can he stop. He got so far under the other day I thought he was gonna roll right over me but he just paddled through it. |

Re: galloping to the stop
I assume you are not going to do it everyday. Basically what I would do is you know this colt can stop and he will let you run him to the stop so stop working on the stop and go work on some other stuff for a few months. But no Unless you are doing it everyday on a continuous basis you should be fine. Have fun and don't break your toy!! Dean Brown |

Thanks for the advice, I like how you put it "dont break your toy" He sure is alot of fun to ride! I think I work on spins and going in straight lines for awhile. He guides really well through his circles. |
