leaking spins
My horse is starting to speed his spins up and lock his inside pivot foot much better but, at the price of leaking out ot the spins.I have been trying in a spin to the right,to make him move away from the farthest point, to back towards where the spin started. |

RJ, I have a pretty good Idea of what is happening. Fixing it is a different story. Can you tell me what you are basically doing in your spins for correction and teaching. This way I should be able to help with something that is along the lines of what you are doing. Dean Brown |

On a right spin, if I am 20 feet from a tree on my right side, after spinnning 4 or 5 times, I will be closer to the tree than when I started spinning. The way I have been correcting this is when I notice I am leaking towards the tree for example,I wait till my horse is pointing away from the tree and make him move back to the starting point of the spin and try him 4 or 5 times again.Thanks |
