large fast small slow transition
hi dean, when you're in the showpen what are your steps from your large fast to your small slow. do you have a preferred way to make this transition, and why. thanks karen. |

Karen, My prefered method to make this transistion is to run right to middle then slow down. Some horses need a little more time so maybe on some horses I would back off just after the 3 cone and then slow down in middle. I like to train them to slow down almost instantly. So usually there is only one step. Slow down and steer in. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I missed the question some how. Dean Brown |
