breeding a stallion and training
What are you thoughts on breeding a young stallion in training? I have a youngster who is in training and plan to show. Can I affectively breed him to a mare or two without affecting his mind. He is quite an easy guy to handle for a stud or anyhorse really and dont want to change that. It would be nice to breed him to one of our mares this year or next. Would this cause him to become hard to handle and harder to train? |

Each horse is different. Some studs it can make them harder and some you will see or feel no difference. The difference I do not think is that much that it will really effect your training to the extent that you are talking about. Personally I do not breed them for that reason. Dean Brown |
