Headspring
Hi Dean, What do you do with a horse that insists on raising its head immediately after doing anything (when you are standing still)? Horse responds well with positive response to the bit, but as soon as you are done spinning, or quit backing up the head comes up immediately. Thanks |

Re: Headspring
Headspring, I would think a good fix for you would be to teach your horse at a stand still when you squeeze your legs a bit he/she drops its head. In a very short period of time you should be able keep your horses head down without any trouble. At a stand still just squeeze with your calf’s and then pick up and drop your horses head. Keep repeating and the horse will get the idea. Dean Brown |
