Picking the shoulder up
I was watching the video on starting the young horse and working on going in a circle and you say if he starts leak into the inside put your outside leg on and pick up on your inside reing picking him up and drive back to the outside. Just my thinking here or I missed something, I would think this would drive in more to the center of the circle and not back to the outside. I know I am just missing it. Is there also some inside leg too that will drive in out? Or maybe you meant to say some inside leg. |

Re: Picking the shoulder up
Yes I am picking up on the horse on the inside and then pushing the horse forward into the body position that I want and having the horse move forward back out into the cirle where I want him. No I do not use my inside leg to do this. The horse is learning how to Move forward back into the positon and the shape that I want. Dean Brown |
