any thoughts on starting a two year old
I have a two year old that I have started he 14.3 and 850 pounds. He wont be officially 2 until April. He is doing great our rides are only about 10 minutes a day now. Been on him 7 times now and we have worked up the 10 minutes. He is well fed, at good weight. He has been working on the lounge line about 5 days a week for a year now. I beed doing my best starting him Dean's way and it's working really well for me. I just been getting beat up in a forum for startin at two. They think no earlier than 3, you would have to ride the wheels off to start a three year old and have him ready for a futurity and surely do him more serious harm, IMHO Thanks Any and all out there please respond! I respect everyones opinion |

John, Sounds like you have this colt fit. Just ride him using good sound judgement as you would any other horse. I can see you are not the type of person (Seems that way) to go over board in your training so have fun. Dean Brown |
