riding perfect circles
Hi: I have only ridden in the pasture, checking cattle, fences, gathering, sorting, etc., so riding in an arena and reining are new experiences for me. My circles are pretty odd shaped. What is your advice for riding a perfect circle? I didn't find this topic in the videos. cheers, bk

Re: riding perfect circles
If you did not find this topic in my video you might want to look again or I guess if your horse is steering and not falling in or falling out my advice would be to look further ahead. It is like driving a car. If you look right infront of you it is harder to drive then if you look further in the distance the car just goes along. So if you look further ahead you will make the steering adjustments in a smoother manner thus making the circle round. |

Re: riding perfect circles
Thank you. The horse steers well. Our tracks are more like a flat egg shape than a circle. I shall try looking more ahead. bk |
