I beg to disagree with you Mark!
This bill does help the metal detecting community. It eliminates me from paying a fee to go metal detecting on "We the People's" land!
It has been proven through the GAO that the "fee program" cost more than what is collected! Another example of government waste and abuse!
Please contact your senators and representatives on this issue!
Most people have the impression that metal detecting is not allowed in our National Forest. That is not the case as most of the National Forest lands are open to using a detector to locate coins and other items that are not of historical or archaeological significant. |
